[advanced option] apply ranges

Jul 7, 2016 at 7:18 PM
since we have the Advanced Options button now, let´s fill it with some handy functionality.

one thing i´d envision to be helpful would be apply range for MIDI binding. it goes like this:
  • select two or more commands to be mapped
  • check the order of the selection (the order would determine the note/cc later)
  • Advanced Options > "Apply Range (increasing)"
which then looks for the first MIDI binding in the selection. if found, the following selected mappings will receive increasing MIDI bindings. this makes binding i.e. 16 consecutive knobs or buttons easier than ever since only the first one would be bound conventionally and the rest would be applied by cmdr.

example
(showing the selected commands, and the resulting bindings after Apply Range (inc)
  • FX 1 Unit On bound to "CH01.CC.64"
  • FX 2 Unit On -> "CH01.CC.65" (no matter what was bound before because the Apply Range was triggered)
  • FX 3 Unit On -> "CH01.CC.66"
  • FX 4 Unit On -> "CH01.CC.67"
might this be useful for someone else?
